Barry Hutchison visit to Firth

The P5/6/7 class went to Firth on Wednesday this week to participate in an author visit from Barry Hutchison. They joined the Firth P5,6 and 7 pupils in a workshop session.
Barry shared information about how he writes novels and everyone had the chance to develop a character too. There was the opportunity to ask questions and lots of the children did. I am hoping he will have inspired our budding writers.
For anyone who is interested you can find out more about Barry through his blog page at www.barryhutchison.com.

This is his latest novel which is nominated in the Scottish Booktrust Awards.

Pier Arts Centre Exhibition

Some of our pupils have work exhibited in the Pier Arts Centre in the 'Peedie Pier' exhibition. Here are a few pictures from the display.

Football!

Here are some photos of the Evie football team following their success on Saturday night. Well done to all team members on winning the Shore Shield and a special thanks to Paul Barber for being such a great coach.
