Red Nose Day

We have been thinking of ways to raise money for Red Nose Day. One of our ideas has been a school joke book which we will sell in school on Friday. Please look on the Pupil Council blog for a film about some of the reasons for Comic Relief.
We want to make the 25th anniversary one to remember!
Do something funny for the money.....Friday might even bring some staff superheroes!

World Book Day

To celebrate World Book Day the pupils shared books with one another across the classes. Here are members of the P5/6/7 class enjoying sharing books with the P1/2 class.

Netballers

Here are a couple of photos of our netball team who have tried really hard in developing their skills this session. They have all received a certificate for all their efforts in the indoor league - well done everybody! In the photo Leah is standing in for Chloe.

Important visitors

We have recently had a visit from a number of councillors, Lesley Manson (Executive Director Education, Leisure and Housing) and Peter Diamond (Head of Schools). They all came to Evie to look at our school building and to decide what they think should be done with it.
The P7 pupils did guided tours in small groups. They were highly praised by all our visitors about how they did this.
The staff also had the opportunity to share in the discussion. The last part of the meeting involved the Pupil Council who answered quite a number of questions very well. It is no easy feat to walk into a room full of adults and share your point of view.
Here are a few pictures of the session.
